What Should I Do First?

Before you begin an exercise program or diet, you need to see a Doctor. If you have not exercised in awhile, have high blood pressure, diabetes, or heart disease, then you need to get a Physical Examination from your Physician. They will inform you, if your exercise and diet program is decent for you. A Doctor can give you some recommendations that can help you to lose the weight and get physically fit.

How Does Losing Weight Work?

The key to losing weight is uncomplicated to know. On a daily basis, the amount of calories you burn during exercise and when the body is at rest equals the daily calories used per day. The daily calories used should be less than the food you take in (calories).

You can also calculate your BMI (Body Mass Index) and your percent of body fat to actual weight. Both these factors can be calculated from books and several websites on the internet. These factors can help you to define your weight loss goals.
